Siobhan + Mike | Boston Engagement Photographer

I hope you have all recovered from the hurricane that swept through this weekend!  I am happy to say that the weather did not stop us from shooting a lovely wedding in New Hampshire on Saturday afternoon.  Anyway, I have been working on lots of photos in between responding to emails and running off to consultations and wedding time line meetings, so I have a lot in store for you all.  (Oh  I love the busy wedding season!)

So today I would love to share Siobhan and Mike’s engagement photos and their super cute story of how their relationship got started with you all.  When Siobhan and Mike met Siobhan mentioned that she was training hard to run the 114th Boston Marathon on April 20, 2009.  Mike responded quickly with a little fib, saying that he too was training for the marathon, when really he has no intentions of running any marathon any time soon.  He didn’t want to start off on the wrong foot so for months he kept assuring Siobhan that he was indeed training hard – ya right! ;)   The day of the Marathon he huffed and puffed to keep up with Siobhan (or did he let her win as he now says?) and they ended up crossing the finish line together in the end!  And well, the rest is history!  :)  For obvious reasons the finish line became an important spot for these two and the story remains a cute little joke between them.  When they got engaged they celebrated by dining at L’espalier, a restaurant right by the finish line.  How cute is that?   Needless to say, when they asked if we could start their engagement session at the marathon finish line I jumped at the opportunity to photograph them there and to share their story.
