Meet Ashley + Jon! I went to middle and high school with these two cuties and they have a really sweet story. Ashley + Jon first dated for a bit in middle school and remained friends throughout high school. In their senior year (2005) Jon asked Ashley to prom and they have been together ever since. They endured a long distance relationship all throughout college saying to each other over the phone, “see you in my dreams and I’ll meet you at the beach”. Just over a year ago Jon, a licensed pilot, flew Ashley to Martha’s Vineyard and took her on a lighthouse scavenger hunt (Ashley has always loved lighthouses) and he proposed to her at the very last light house and of course she said yes! And now I just can’t wait to photograph their wedding next August!

After their First Look they shared heartfelt vows out on the estate’s lawn overlooking the water and once the dance floor opened up the fun and excitement did not stop! During the reception Jon serenaded Ashley with a love song while his dad and a groomsman played guitar. I don’t think it gets much more adorable than that! It is so clear that these two were truly made for each other. They share an undeniably deep connection that has stood the tests of both time and distance. The love and support their friends and family have for them as a couple was so touching to witness.
